A huge protest is being performed by tens of thousands of people in the Belgian capital over the freshly issued lockdown guidelines. Protesters retaliated with fireworks at the police officers who intervened with tear gas and water cannons. The protesters are unhappy with the introduction of Covid passes which bans un-vaccinated population from entering public venues such as restaurants. These restrictions were first put in the Netherlands, the residents put up a protest against it.

In Belgium, rules on face masks have been tightened more in the places where Covid passes were already in effect. Belgians would have to continue work from home four days a week until December. In the Netherlands, riots broke out on 20th of November, 2021. Hooded rioters set fire to the bicycles in The Hague. Officials announced Emergence in the city and at least seven protesters were arrested.
The unrest that followed a night of riots in Rotterdam condemned the city’s mayor. At least three protesters are receiving medical treatment after the police fired warning and real gunshots to the crowd. Tens of thousands of people protested after becoming the first country to make vaccination jabs compulsory by February 2022, becoming the first European country to make vaccination as a legal requirement.
