News Crisps - Farming Laws Repealed

In the recent turn of events, the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi has repealed the 3 Agricultural Acts issued by the Parliament of India in September of 2020. The Prime Minister announced on a televised address on the 19th of November, 2021 that the Agricultural Acts of 2020, also known as Farm Bills would be repealed in the Parliamentary Session of the upcoming December.



The acts were as follows :-
The acts resulted in over 600 farmers getting killed and 300+ policemen getting injured and further more injuries and damages to the public property were recorded. It resulted in a massive strike called by the farmers from Punjab and Haryana, protesting near the Delhi Border since 2020. Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union of Uttar Pradesh has decided not to revoke the protest until the bills get passed in the Parliaments.
