Jai Bhim, a Indian-Tamil language legal drama movie released on 2nd November, 2021, starring Suriya and others, directed by T. J. Gnanavel and produced by Jyothika and Suriya under 2D Entertainment. This movie depicts the case of a Irula tribesman who got into a legal case in 1993 and his fight with the law with the help of a hero lawyer, Justice K. Chandru. This film achieved an IMDb score of 9.6/10. The first Indian film to do so.

The film is based on a real incident from the year of 1993, it follows the story of Sengani and Rajakannu, a couple from the Irula tribe (snake catchers). Police brutality follows and Rajakannu was later missing from the station. Sengani seeks help from the advocate Chandru and they file a habeas corpus case and refers to the K. Rajan case in further discovering the truth. Chandru suspects of foul play by the police and discovers that Rajakannu was never the thief in the first place, but rather the police took bribery from the real thief and instead lashed and kicked Rajakannu, resulting in the breaking of his ribcage which pierced his heart. The police then dumped the body on the side of a road near Pondicherry to make everyone believe that he instead died in a car accident. In the end, Chandru gives justice to Sengani and two others also falsely accused, they receive a compensation in the end.
This film involves Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s fight to abolish untouchability. Born into a low Mahar caste family, he had a tough childhood as his family was deemed as untouchables and were subjugated to socio-economic discrimination. During his childhood, his teachers would not touch his copies, his classmates would not sit beside him as he was considered as an ‘untouchable’ by orthodox Hindus. Later on he would study and go on to become the spokesperson for all classes and castes that existed in India. Ambedkar set out on a path to obliterate caste discrimination and the concept of untouchability in India. Ambedkar fought for these issues and also composed the present Constitution of India but all was in vain, as in the year of 2021, after 74 years of independence, there is still practice of discrimination by caste and class which portrays in all forms of life and practices such
as the education sector, job sector, social security, respect, etc.
In essence, this film has touched everyone who has watched it. The casting, direction, music composition, all of them bind it into one legendary movie. The movie gives hope and a motivation to the younger generation to protest against prejudice and fight for the truth. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar had a vision and we are the vessels to realize that vision for the better society and for all of the nation’s residents’ welfare. In the end, if we can fight and abolish the practice, the lives of millions would be so much better.

The review was well structured ans very well written. I like how you referenced and gave tribute to B.R.Ambedkar and his ideology , views and fight against caste discrimination. Just one suggestion , if you dont mind , dont give away main plot point of film , it could be like spoiler . Overall its an awesome review with its context to current societal scenario.
