One of the nostalgic memories in all our lives are train journeys. The memories are captured in our hearts and minds so remarkably, it feels like a glow worm in a jam jar. Enlightening our little minds with a whole lot of light. The great times of our childhood reminisce the scenes of travelling when the scope of technology wasn’t much around. We used to be thrilled with nature and beauty. Some of the stories we remember exclusively and hence sharing them for you to have a glance.

It’s the last day of school, the last bell rings and it’s the start of our summer vacation. We are excited, we come out screaming in joy, as we know it’s time to pack our bags for the upcoming journey. Mom packs my clothes, I make sure to pack my favorite games, books and snacks. I am excited, as evening approaches, dad brings the auto and we start to be closer to the railway station. We reach and we board our train, me still over-excited, restless on when the train would start moving. Thus beginning our 30 hour journey. After having a quick dinner, and jumping on my favorite window seat, watching as the stations whizz by. We have our dinner and slept. The next day, I am even more excited as we are about to reach the Orange city of India, Nagpur. Putting my face closer to the window to hear the clickety-clackety sound of rolling trains, excited as other passenger and freight trains roll by, I have a list of all the landmarks we were to cross, what can be more fun, an entire day of train ride. Evening rolls by, night comes in, and alas, as all good times come to an end, mom makes bed for me, as we are about to reach the city of joy, Kolkata in a mere few hours. We have our sleep and mom wakes me up in the middle of the night, as our train is to arrive at the Howrah Railway Station. As the train pulled into the station, it ended up a great journey to be formed as a memory.
Journeys are not just a start and an end, it is believed there is a middle to it, but that middle depends on the minds how they would enjoy it. Whether it be a 30 hour journey or a 3 hour journey to a local destination, what matters is how you live it up. Life is a journey, yet we should know how to live the best of it. Fin
